More on managing your copyrights

Suggested publisher agreement language:

In addition to the MIT Copyright Amendment Form, other organizations offer suggested language for authors who want to retain rights to reuse their own work when signing publisher agreements:

  • Science Commons offers a tool that can generate a PDF version of any of three addenda (in addition to MIT’s) that meet different author needs.
  • For authors publishing with the Society of Automotive Engineers: an SAE-approved version of the SPARC addendum (Word)
  • A Comparison of Author Addenda: this article compares author addenda, including those from MIT, SPARC, and ScienceCommons.
