Dewey is one of the five major libraries serving the MIT community. It is the primary library for MIT’s Sloan School of Management, the Department of Economics, and the Department of Political Science. There are 200+ individual study spaces and nine group study rooms available for student use.
The Dewey Library is open seven days a week (see hours) and offers research support to the MIT community, including walk-in reference from 11:00-5:00 Monday through Friday. See Ask Us for more information.
The library’s collection contains over 300,000 volumes in the areas of management and social sciences. The library subscribes to nearly 3,000 journals and serials, including over 80 databases. Dewey subject selectors continually evaluate new resources to choose those that are most valuable to the MIT community. Take a look at our new titles.
